Ladies of Cinema's focus is to shine a light on women in film who challenge the  patriarchy and status quo. I love many filmmakers, but women have been marginalized in Hollywood for a very long time, but I do believe that is starting to change! The more diversity we can have in our stories the more we can see the common thread of our humanity. We are more than the stereotypes and recycled story lines of mainstream media. There has always been a counterculture running under the mainstream media and Ladies of Cinema is here to celebrate it! More diversity please!
